Quorn Classic Beef Style Burger with Guacamole

Another of our simple burger recipes that is lower in saturated fat and bigger on taste than the meat alternative. Match the fire of the chillies with the smoothness of guacamole salsa for a burger the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • For the burger
  • 4 Quorn Classic Beef Style Burgers
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 head romaine or iceburg lettuce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • For the salsa
  • 200g tomatoes, de-seeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely diced
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper
  • 1 tbsp coriander, chopped
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Seasoning
  • For the guacamole
  • 1 small jalapeno pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander
  • 8oz (1/2 lb) tomatoes
  • 1/2 red onion
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled

Method

  1. To make the guacamole, place all the ingredients except the avocado into a food processor and puree until smooth. Add the avocado and pulse until the desired texture is reached. Spoon into a serving bowl.
  2. To make the salsa, combine all the ingredients and mix well. Season to taste.
  3. Brush the Quorn Classic Beef Style Burgers with a little oil and place on a griddle or BBQ for 10 - 12 minutes (as per back of pack instructions), turning frequently.
  4. To assemble the burger, place the lettuce in the base of the bun, place the Quorn Classic Beef Style Burger on top, then the avocado and finally top with a spoonful of the salsa.
  5. Serve hot with the guacamole.
